Our suppliers and fulfilment partners: We share your name, phone number, and delivery address with DuMey Creations (Pty) Ltd (trading as DMC Wholesale), our wholesale supplier, so they can pick, pack, and dispatch your order. If you have ordered on behalf of someone else, that recipient's details are shared for delivery purposes only.
Other third parties:
  • Shopify — our e-commerce platform provider, which hosts our store and processes your data on secure servers (international data transfer — see Section 9)
  • Payment gateways — to process your card or EFT payment securely. We do not store your full card details on our servers
  • Courier and logistics providers — to deliver your parcel and provide tracking services
  • Legal and regulatory authorities — where we are required by law to disclose information
We do not:

  • Share your information with third parties for their own marketing purposes

8. Data Retention

We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by law.
  • Order and transaction records: 5 years (as required by South African tax law)
  • Customer account information: As long as your account is active, or until you request deletion
  • Marketing consent records: As long as you remain subscribed, or until you withdraw consent
  • Correspondence and complaints: 3 years after resolution
Once the retention period expires, we securely delete or anonymise your information.

9. Cross-Border Data Transfers

Our store is hosted on Shopify, which stores data on servers located outside South Africa (primarily in the United States and Canada). By using our store and placing an order, you acknowledge that your personal information may be transferred to, processed, and stored in countries that may have different data protection laws than South Africa.
Shopify is contractually bound to protect your data in accordance with POPIA and international data protection standards. We have ensured that appropriate safeguards are in place for these transfers.
